Job summary

El Conquistador Golf Club in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent to join a hospitality-focused property organization as part of Troon.

The role requires 3–4 years of related experience, a degree in agronomy/ horticulture or equivalent, and a valid pesticide license. You will manage budgets, supervise staff, plan maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• English reading and speaking ability required.
• Degree in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science preferred.
• 3–4 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining annual budget and capital plans.
• Supervise maintenance staff and daily duties.
• Plan maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Monitor planting, turf care, and plant health.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safe.
• Procure supplies within budget and code invoices/payroll.
• Maintain records and assist with reports.
