Job summary

MCN Build seeks an Assistant Superintendent in Washington D.C. to support the lead superintendent with day-to-day field operations. This full-time role coordinates subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain schedule and budget, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of field experience and a High School Diploma, with strong communication and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in the Assistant Superintendent role or related field.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
• Proven organizational and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, contract/insurance documents and forms.
• Negotiation skills with ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Perform quality control duties and ensure work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals with project team.
• Ensure subcontractors execute contracted scope and stay on schedule and within budget.
