Job summary

Ajax Building Company is seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent to support field execution on complex construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This role offers a clear path to Superintendent, with hands-on exposure to all aspects of field leadership while working alongside experienced Superintendents and trade partners.

The Assistant Superintendent will help drive day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold safety, quality, and schedule - gaining the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman carpentry training and/or supervisory training courses preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience, OR 2+ years experience with 4-year degree
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.
• Ability to motivate employees and handle different situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of craft personnel to ensure project is constructed by design, within budget and on schedule.
• Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
• Monitor personnel for compliance with safety and working procedures.
• Advise Superintendent of potential problems and assist in problem solving. Perform additional assignments as required.
