Ajax Building Company is seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent to support field execution on complex construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This role offers a clear path to Superintendent, with hands-on exposure to field leadership while working alongside experienced Superintendents and trade partners.

The Assistant Superintendent will help drive day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold safety, quality, and schedule—gaining the experience needed to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman carpentry training or supervisory training preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience, or 2+ years with a 4-year degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervision of craft personnel to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Assist in planning work schedules, manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment.
• Monitor safety compliance and working procedures.
• Inform Superintendent of potential problems and assist in solving.
• Perform additional assignments as required.
