Ajax Building Company is seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent to support field execution on complex construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This role offers a clear path to Superintendent, with hands-on exposure to all aspects of field leadership while working alongside experienced Superintendents and trade partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman carpentry training or supervisory courses preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience OR 2+ years experience with 4-year degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.
• Ability to motivate employees and handle different situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise craft personnel to ensure project is constructed by design, within budget and on schedule.
• Plan work schedule, determine manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
• Monitor personnel for compliance with safety and working procedures.
• Advise Superintendent of all potential problems and assist in problem solving.
