Job summary

Grunley Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to provide general support to the Superintendent on high-profile commercial, institutional, and government projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You will oversee a specific project area, ensuring safety, coordination, and proper use of tools, while reporting to the Superintendent and Director of Field Operations. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of foreman/field engineer experience with multiple trades, plus OSHA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years as Foreman or Field Engineer; knowledge of multiple construction trades.
• OSHA 10, CPR, First Aid certifications required (or obtainable before start).

Responsibilities

• Support of Superintendent: collect subcontractor manpower reports, fill daily reports, handle deliveries, escalate issues.
• Supervise specific part of project: coordinate subcontractors and Grunley manpower, read and communicate drawings/specifications.
• Safety: conduct safety meetings, monitor for unsafe conditions, direct corrective actions.
• Coordination: align work with subcontractors and project schedule.
• Tools: maintain and inventory tools.
