Job summary

Grunley Construction Company, Inc. seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent on commercial, institutional, and government projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The role emphasizes safety, coordination, and accountability for tools and field operations on assigned areas. You will supervise field crews, review drawings, coordinate subcontractors, conduct safety meetings, and ensure work aligns with schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years as Foreman or Field Engineer; 8 years with no degree.
• 10 hour OSHA, CPR, and First Aid certifications required or obtainable before start.

Responsibilities

• Support of Superintendent and administratively to Director of Field Operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and Grunley manpower on designated project area.
• Conduct safety meetings and monitor for unsafe conditions.
• Read, understand and communicate construction drawings and specs.
• Maintain tools and manage daily field reports and deliveries.
