Our client, a respected general contractor with a solid track record in commercial construction, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join their growing team. Position Summary :

The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in overseeing all field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in commercial building, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to job site management.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, labor, and material coordination.

Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site.

Help monitor schedules, quality control, and project milestones.

Conduct site walkthroughs, inspections, and assist with daily reports and documentation.

Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Support project planning, logistics, and execution to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications :

2+ years of experience in a similar role within commercial construction .

Knowledge of construction means, methods, and OSHA regulations.

Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills.

Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
