Guidant Management in Plantation, FL is looking for one golf course assistant superintendent to join our team at Plantation Preserve Golf Course located at 7050 West Broward Blvd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Must pass a Background check and Drug Test.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of golf course maintenance experience in a leadership role, including golf, turf fertilization, calibration, pest control, and irrigation oversight
- Pesticide applicator certification

Additional Qualifications
- Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture
- Certification and/or licensing for pesticide usage
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, watering practices, pumps, wells, automatic controls, and drainage
Responsibilities
- The assistant superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course.
- Direct and manage a staff of 6-8 employees and oversee maintenance of the golf course, clubhouse, and surrounding areas according to the management contract.
- Approve all expenditures and exercise cost control measures to align operating and capital expenses with budgets.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise employees for maintaining the golf courses.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and disposal of chemicals, petroleum, and other controlled products, maintaining required records.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
- Supervise operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course.
- Prepare and operate within annual budget estimates and agronomic plans.
- Create and distribute reports of maintenance activities as required.
- Fulfill administrative duties timely.
