Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of large project experience, a high school diploma (Bachelors preferred), and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office. OSHA/STC backgrounds and leadership capability are valued.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.

• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent by managing designated field activities and supervision of subcontractors and employees.
• Support project team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in line with BB Construction policies.
• Manage project start-up and scheduling, and project administration, operations, and close-out.
• Promote strong customer relations and contribute to a collaborative project culture and leadership development.

Summary

At Balfour Beatty Construction, we are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role will assist the Superintendent by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervision of designated field construction work by subcontractors and employees. Assists the project team to ensure the project is built on time, within budget, and in accordance with Balfour Beatty Construction's policies & procedures and the focus on our vision and purpose through Service, Talent and Choices. 30 hours of OSHA training once every four years, or maintain STS certification.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
• Ability to read plans and specs.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management.
