Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Davisboro, GA project team. You will assist the Superintendent by managing field activities, supervising subcontractors and employees, and helping keep the project on time, within budget, and in accordance with company policies.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of large-project or corrections experience, strong ability to read plans and specs, and a background in construction management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of corrections and/or large project experience.
• Two years of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage designated field activities for the project.

Summary

At Balfour Beatty, we are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team in Davisboro, GA. This role will assist the Superintendent by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervision of designated field construction work by subcontractors and employees. Assists the project team to ensure the project is built on time, within budget, and in accordance with Balfour Beatty’s policies & procedures and the focus on our vision and purpose through Service, Talent and Choices. 30 hours of OSHA training once every four years, or maintain STS certification.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
• Ability to read plans and specs.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management.
