Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position with mentorship during the first months, focusing on guest service, productivity, and learning new skills.

Foundational responsibilities include assisting a lead stylist, building client relationships, and performing salon tasks with a goal of delivering a top-tier guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Basic understanding of latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, brow services, and ear piercing services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting store goals for retail and service sales.
• Support mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity goals for hair services and products.
• After month three, perform hair services including hair design, color, and styling.
• Conduct product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
