Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Hadley, MA is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, under mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist.

During months 4–6 you will begin servicing guests of your own, perform demonstrations, and support events while staying informed on the latest trends and product knowledge. Cosmetology license and strong guest service are required.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required or in active pursuit.
• Strong guest-service orientation and ability to consult on hair care needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and meet store goals related to retail and service sales.
• Support mentor Stylist in achieving sales and productivity goals.
• After month three, perform hair services including hair design, color, and makeup applications where applicable.
• Demonstrate services and participate in in-store events.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
