Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary position prepares talent for a stylist role, with mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist during the first 3 months, then transitioning to servicing guests on their own.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Strong knowledge of latest salon techniques across haircutting, color, styling, makeup, and brow services.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services.
• Support and mentor guests under a senior stylist for the first 3 months.
• After month three, perform hair services including design, cuts, color, texture, and styling.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and guest experience.
• Assist with in-store events, promotions, and marketing for guest engagement.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and adherence to safety procedures.
