Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist for a temporary position designed to prepare talent for a stylist role. You’ll engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services while being mentored by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months.

After three months you may begin servicing guests independently, with opportunities to perform a wide range of hair services and product demonstrations to drive sales.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to provide hair services under supervision after 3 months.
• Strong guest-service mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and help meet store goals for retail and service sales.
• Assist mentor stylist with hair services and product demos.
• After month three, perform hair services including cuts, color, styling, and makeup applications where applicable.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and ingredients.
