Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Hadley, MA is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, with mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist for the first months.

During months 4-6, you will begin serving guests of your own while continuing to sharpen technical skills and product knowledge in a supportive, fast-paced salon environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Knowledge of current salon techniques for haircutting, color, and styling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and build relationships.
• Willingness to learn and assist under an Elite/Master Stylist.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals.
• Assist mentor stylist with hair services and product recommendations.
• Support pre-booking, sanitation, and retail recommendations.
• Perform hair services after month three, including cuts, color, and styling.
• Demonstrate products through guest demos and drive sales.
• Assist with in-store events and promotions.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Attend trainings and adhere to dress code.
