Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains toward a stylist position, under mentorship for the first 3 months, focusing on guest service, performance, and learning new technical skills.

During months 4–6, the Assistant Stylist will begin servicing guests of their own while continuing to learn advanced techniques, color, and styling.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Strong guest service mindset and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and products.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests and consult on hair care needs.
• Recommend products and services to enhance the guest look.
• Assist with hair services under mentorship during months 1–3.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive guest experience and sales.
