Pet Supplies Plus in Bellevue, WA is seeking an Assistant Store Team Leader who will support the Store Team Leader in daily operations, lead the team by example, and deliver neighborly service to customers and their pets.

You will greet neighbors and their pets, help customers choose products, support store performance, assist with hiring, onboarding, and coaching, and help maintain a clean, safe, and pet-friendly store.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer-facing leadership experience.
• Hybrid role with 45 hours per week, including overtime.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

As an Assistant Store Team Leader, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. You will support the Store Team Leader in running the day-to-day operations of the store, leading the team by example, and delivering exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity. What You'll Do

• Support and lead your team by example, delivering exceptional, neighborly service
• Jump in to greet neighbors and their pets and create a welcoming in-store experience
• Assist customers in choosing the best products for their pets’ needs
• Support store performance including sales, engagement, and overall productivity
• Help analyze results and partner with leadership on plans to improve performance
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing a strong team
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-run store environment (including animal care and safety)
• Build relationships within the community and support local events and partnerships
• Help create a fun, positive culture where both pets and people feel at home

Requirements and Responsibilities

• 2+ years of retail or customer-facing leadership experience
• Role is a hybrid work position working 45 hours a week, with 5 of those hours being overtime
• Management work experience preferred (High School Diploma/GED required)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling)
• Ability to operate store equipment as needed
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible schedules
• Must be 18+ years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner
