Dollar Tree in Edwardsville, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to excellent service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to ensure effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness
• Other duties as assigned
