Job summary

Family Dollar in Mandan, ND is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and leading store associates to deliver a great customer experience.

This role requires strong communication, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
