Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, supervising and training Store Associates, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment; exceptional customer service and organization are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications and record-keeping.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional materials.
