Job summary

Family Dollar in Louisiana is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, serve customers, and develop team members. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail/grocery preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong problem solving and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks
• Ensure store areas are well-stocked and presentable
• Protect store assets including cash and equipment
• Supervise and train store associates as needed
• Maintain a respectful, safe environment for customers and staff
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies
