Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Shreveport, LA location. You will assist with daily functions, engage customers, and help organize merchandise from delivery to floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling records, and ensuring store standards and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and safety guidelines observed.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
