Job summary

Dollar Tree in Canton, Mississippi seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities and maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling and receipts, and loss prevention.
