Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and support opening and closing procedures.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and a customer‑focused attitude. You may lift up to 55 lbs and supervise store associates to maintain a clean, well‑stocked, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean and organized store environment in line with company standards.
