Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service in our Madison store. This role requires hands-on leadership to inspire a team and uphold Lids standards.

You will supervise staff, optimize scheduling, train associates, and ensure inventory accuracy while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and teammates alike. The position offers growth opportunities within a vibrant, sports-loving brand.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to achieve store sales targets while minimizing loss.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Lead store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-up when Store Manager is not present.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun, productive environment and aligning work with company objectives.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for peak periods when needed.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies, protect inventory, funds, and property.
• Open and close the store according to Operations guidelines.
