Job summary

Famous Footwear in Tempe, AZ is hiring a full-time Assistant Store Manager. You will lead the store in the Store Manager's absence, coach the team, and drive sales. You’ll manage daily operations, staffing, and customer engagement to deliver the Famous Feeling.

You’ll recruit talent, train associates, and ensure excellent customer experiences while upholding company standards. A flexible schedule and a passion for shoes are essential.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager, as needed.
• Demonstrates strong cognitive skills, including problem solving, decision making, and financial and quantitative analysis.
• Has advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.

• Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand: step in when the Store Manager is away and develop internal talent with the Store Manager.
