Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Stores experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Assist in transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
