Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Auburn, Indiana location. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, and loss prevention while maintaining store standards.

You will train Store Associates, help manage scheduling and payroll tasks, ensure safety, and foster a positive environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and stockrooms.
• Train and develop Store Associates; supervise as needed.
• Ensure safety and adherence to store policies.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Provide a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
