Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Starkville location. You will assist with merchandising, staff supervision, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized store environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, scheduling, cash handling, and upholding company policies while delivering exceptional customer service and leadership to Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Manage payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention tasks.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
