Job summary

Dollar Tree in Olive Branch, MS seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development.

You will help with opening/closing, merchandise organization, training Store Associates, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff. Emphasis on teamwork, communication, and policy adherence to drive a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
