Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Passaic, New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team.

You will assist with merchandising, open/close procedures, training, and ensuring a clean, secure store environment while upholding company policies.

This part-time role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
