Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Corpus Christi, Texas.

You will help manage day-to-day activities, assist customers, and ensure merchandise flows smoothly from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas. The role requires strong communication, physical stamina, and the ability to supervise, train, and develop store associates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and provide a positive experience.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and overall storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Protect assets and cash handling per policy.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed; train and develop associates.
• Create a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and store floors; manage trash and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
