Dollar Tree, Inc. in Port Arthur, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise store associates to maintain a safe, friendly shopping environment.

This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to keeping floors clean, well-stocked, and accurately handling payroll and cash.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and Task Compliance.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards; keep stockroom organized.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies including safety guidelines; ensure staff follows procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store; bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
