Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves assisting with daily functions, merchandising, training staff, and ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment.

You will help organize merchandise, handle openings/closings, process directives, and maintain promotional displays while upholding company policies and procedures. Part-time schedule in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, and manage records including payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines; train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable; restock and clean restrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
