Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and cash handling.
• Keep store areas stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect assets and store cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept and mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
