Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise non-exempt Associates, and ensure excellent customer service. The role includes budgeting, scheduling, training, and enforcing company standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of store leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and follow through to completion.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all non‑exempt Associates.
• Lead Store operations and ensure adherence to company standards and policies.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing store staff.
• Monitor controllable expenses and payroll hours to align with budgets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment.
