Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and supervise non-exempt Associates. In the absence of the Store Manager, you’ll lead the store to maintain company standards and customer service excellence.

You’ll assist with payroll, scheduling, and training, while ensuring compliance with policies and safety procedures. English fluency and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate effectively.
• Strong customer service skills and English fluency.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Basic math calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all non-exempt Associates.
• Lead the store in the Store Manager's absence to ensure standards are met.
• Assist in payroll administration including scheduling and payroll reporting.
• Analyze store reports to evaluate expenses and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and loss prevention measures.
