Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Detroit Lakes, MN to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure the seasonal areas are well maintained. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, and store bookkeeping tasks.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
• Help train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
