Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Sartell, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with merchandise organization, opening/closing procedures, loss prevention, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.

This full-time role requires strong communication, leadership, and a proactive approach to guest services in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with store operations
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
