Job summary

Roses/Roses Express in Meridian, MS, seeks an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and help run store operations under the Store Manager. You will hire, train, supervise hourly team; open and close; protect assets; keep stockroom organized; ensure sales floor readiness and daily performance.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and mobility for store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is not on premises.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives.
• Assist in the receipt/return of DSD merchandise and management of freight flow.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering and stocking all merchandise needs.
• Assist in maintaining stockroom organization and sales-floor readiness.
• Assist in ensuring the sales floor is sales effective daily.
• Assist in implementing directives in the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
