Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Appleton, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help the Store Manager meet company standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on leadership. You will supervise associates, ensure a clean, safe environment, and help drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical activities typical of a store environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and managing records including payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure company assets.
