Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Appleton, Wisconsin.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and routine communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable, including bathrooms.
