Job summary

Sportsman’s Warehouse in Loveland, CO is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and lead a high-performing team. You will supervise select departments, ensure operational execution, and foster a positive work environment focused on customer service and sales growth.

The role requires 2+ years in retail with customer service, leadership experience and familiarity with tools like Tomax, Excel, and UKG.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a retail environment in a customer service focused position.
• Experience within an outdoor and/or sporting goods focused retailer.
• Experience in a team lead and/or supervisory role preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of relevant software and tools, including Tomax, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Cisco phone system, and UKG.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading, training, and mentoring team members while fostering engagement and high performance.
• Maintain clear communication with Outfitters to clarify expectations and train on knowledge and skills.
• Support performance evaluations by providing constructive feedback to employees.
• Help manage daily store operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee departmental functions, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and standards are maintained.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures, including store security and compliance.
• Monitor attendance and performance, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
• Facilitate conflict resolution to promote a positive work environment.
• Drive sales and achieve financial objectives via merchandising and customer engagement.
• Ensure all employees deliver exceptional customer service with strong product knowledge.
• Assist in managing in-store events and promotional activities.
