Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves hands-on duties, merchandise organization, and collaboration with the Store Manager to supervise staff.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in retail leadership preferred. The position is part-time at our North Conway, NH location, with opportunities to contribute to loss prevention, payroll, and standard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized in line with company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and train/store associates accordingly.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms, floors, trash, and general cleanliness.
