Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and leadership abilities with experience in retail management preferred. This is a part-time position based at our Sudbury, MA location, offering benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and coworkers.
