Job summary

Dollar Tree in Saint Charles, Missouri, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, train and supervise associates, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas of the store.

The role focuses on delivering friendly service, maintaining store standards, and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and secure all assets.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
