Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a part-time Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Missouri. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, manage merchandise flow, and uphold store standards.

The role involves supervising and training associates, handling opening/closing tasks, and ensuring a clean, safe, and friendly shopping environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean and organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
