Job summary

Dollar Tree in Pendleton, OR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise staff, and ensure store standards are met.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in retail management. You will lead store operations, maintain merchandise, and support optimizing customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional efficiency of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
