Job summary

Michael Kors is seeking a capable store operations professional to support the Store Manager in daily retail activities. The role focuses on sales generation, customer service excellence, and effective store operations across merchandising and HR tasks, ensuring cost controls and inventory accuracy.

You will lead by example, develop staff skills, and drive results while maintaining the brand’s premium customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail experience with 1-2 years specialty management.

Responsibilities

• Meet personal and store sales goals.
• Assist in tracking, monitoring, and communication of business results.
• Ensure an elevated level of sales and service; lead by example.
• Develop personal sales techniques and assist in developing staff techniques.
• Ensure all sales policies and procedures are maintained.
• Demonstrate in‑depth product knowledge and train staff accordingly.
• Maintain awareness of fashion industry trends.
• Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service.
• Build and maintain repeat clientele using client books.
• Resolve client problems and complaints quickly and effectively.
• Assist staff with customer service issues (returns, defective merchandise).
• Collaborate with store manager on risk management, security, cash controls, and inventory.
• Support training in register usage and maintenance; manage cash procedures.
• Participate in inventories and cash handling activities.
• Assist with merchandising/visual directives; keep floor neat and visually appealing.
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs.
• Assist in recruitment, training and development of staff; payroll integrity.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback; address HR issues with support from HR.
• Oversee direct reports: Sales Supervisor(s) and Stock Supervisor(s).
• Minimum 3 years retail experience with 1-2 years specialty management.
